Background
The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is seeking to procure Laser Marking Equipment to enhance its Sterile Processing Service (SPS).

This initiative follows a Joint Commission inspection that identified the excessive use of tape for etching medical instruments as a concern. The goal is to replace tape etching with a more efficient and compliant laser marking system that adheres to FDA regulations and improves inventory management.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of Censimark Laser Marking Equipment (brand name or equal) along with training.

The salient characteristics and specifications include:
- **Equipment Requirement**: Laser Marking System with an Air Filtration System that includes mobile HEPA filters and electric variable speed blower control.
- **Fiber Laser Technical Specifications**: Must mark materials such as titanium, anodized titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and plastics. Features include a red dot focal system, Censitrac compatibility, motorized Z-Axis base, USB connection, Class 1 enclosure, galvanometer system for fast marking, and emergency stop control.
- **Performance Standards**: Must meet FDA standards for laser products and produce GS1-compliant 2D DataMatrix codes.
- **Training**: One week of training included in the quote.
- **Warranty**: 12 months warranty required.
