Blood Components and Immunohematology Lab Testing Base plus 4 OYs

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, is seeking potential sources capable of providing Blood Components and Immunohematology Reference Laboratory Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability of FDA approved blood and blood products along with necessary laboratory services to support the medical needs of veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, transportation, and any incidentals necessary for the successful performance of this Statement of Work (SOW). The services required include:
- Antibody Identification
- RBC Antigen Typing
- Platelet Crossmatching
- Platelet HLA Typing

All laboratory tests must be performed by a laboratory accredited by AABB and licensed/registered by the FDA. All blood supplied must come from volunteer donors in compliance with FDA rules and regulations. Donor selection criteria must adhere to standards established by the FDA and/or American Association of Blood Banks (AABB).

Period of Performance
Base plus 4 option years.
