SYNOPSIS OF AWARD September 22, 2023 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Commodities Services and Acquisition Services (CSAS), in conjunction with Audiology and Speech Pathology, and the Denver Logistic Center located at 555 Corporate Circle, Golden, CO 80401, has awarded two (2) contract against solicitation number 36C79123R0005. This contract is for Assistive Listening Devices to be provided in the entire United States. Interested parties were solicited through Contract Opportunities (www.sam.gov) as a full and open competition. The solicitation was posted on April 21, 2023 and proposals, following RFP amendments, were due on May 22, 2023. The requirement is for Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) which these devices will fulfill the need to assist Veterans and their health care providers to provide the best possible care while fulfilling a Veteran s auditory needs within the VA. The procured type of products are as follow: TV amplification systems; moderate gain amplified telephones; power gain telephones; personal amplifiers; alarm/alerting systems, including smoke alarms; carbon monoxide detectors; doorbell alarms; alarm clocks; wireless bed shakers devices; and tinnitus masking devices. These items remain current requirements for the Veteran population. The ALD award contracts have historically been awarded using a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract type, IDIQ, under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code: Pursuant to FAR 16.504(a), the total maximum quantity of supplies and services under the basic contract for all awardees combined shall not exceed $56.5 million, including the base and all option periods. Each of the resulting contracts will include a base period of one (1) year and four (4) option periods upon approval of Authority to Operate is granted.
