Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs has a need to secure Vocera Communications software, support, and maintenance. DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE, PROPOSAL, OR BID. This notice is not a solicitation as defined by FAR 2.101, therefore it shall not be construed as a commitment by the government to enter into a contract, nor does it restrict the government to an acquisition approach. All information contained in this Request for Information (RFI) is preliminary as well as subject to amendment and is in no way binding on the government. Information submitted in response to this notice is voluntary; the government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the government. The government is requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to this notice. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the Federal Contract Opportunities website or General Services Administration (GSA). It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this RFI. 1. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to secure Vocera Communications software, support, and maintenance for the new Community Resource and Referral Center (CRRC), a facility dedicated to serving homeless Veterans since December 4, 2023.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the Vocera software operates at optimal performance levels, providing essential communication services within the VA system.

Work Details
The contract includes the following specific products and services:
1. Support & Maintenance for Vocera Communications software:
- Perpetual Term License Support & Maintenance
- Subscription Term Renewal, Support & Maintenance
2. Support & Maintenance shall include:
- Availability of patches, updates, enhancements, and new versions of the software covered.
- Telephone and email technical support:
i. 24-hour, 7 days per week, 365 days per year for Severity Level 1 issues.
ii. 8am – 5pm in End User’s time zone for Severity Level 2 and 3 issues excluding U.S. weekends and holidays.
iii. Troubleshooting and work-arounds for software issues with Vocera Products.
iv. Problem resolution for software issues that cannot be resolved through reference to the Vocera Documentation and Support knowledge base.
- Up to 5 designated support contacts from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC)/CRRC.
- 1 Return Material Authorization (RMA) Contact.
- Dedicated Technical Support Engineer.
- Vocera support web access available 24/7.

The services will be performed at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030.
