Description

VA Boise, ID Medical Center Blood and Blood Products New Requirement. Nothing Follows.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) to secure a reliable blood supplier capable of procuring, transferring, and providing blood and blood components.

This contract aims to enhance patient care at the Boise VAMC by ensuring the availability of essential blood products and related services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide various blood products including, but not limited to:
- Leukoreduced Red Blood Cells
- Apheresis Platelets – LVDS
- Apheresis Platelets – PAS Pathogen Reduced
- Plasma
- Cryoprecipitate
- Cryoprecipitate Pools.

The contractor must ensure that blood product ordering is available 24/7 throughout the year and deliver routine orders within 24 hours. Emergency 'STAT' orders must be fulfilled within 2 hours during business hours and as soon as possible during off-hours. The contractor will also maintain a quality assurance program and ensure compliance with FDA regulations and AABB certification.
