Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to establish a supply source for Tamsulosin Capsules through its Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV) Programs. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability and consistency of pharmaceutical products for nationwide usage while obtaining volume-based pricing. The contract will facilitate the distribution of these products through the VA PPV Program and other authorized government participants, including the Department of Defense (DoD) and Indian Health Service (IHS).

The solicitation includes the following line items for Tamsulosin HCL 0.4mg Capsules:

1. **Line Item 1**: Tamsulosin HCL 0.4mg Capsules, 90 Capsules per Bottle
- **Base Year**: 1,405,849 Bottles
- **Option Year One**: 1,405,849 Bottles
- **Option Year Two**: 1,405,849 Bottles
- **Option Year Three**: 1,405,849 Bottles
- **Option Year Four**: 1,405,849 Bottles

2. **Line Item 2a**: Tamsulosin HCL 0.4mg Capsules, 500 Capsules per Bottle
- **Base Year**: 368,454 Bottles
- **Option Year One**: 368,454 Bottles
- **Option Year Two**: 368,454 Bottles
- **Option Year Three**: 368,454 Bottles
- **Option Year Four**: 368,454 Bottles

3. **Line Item 2b**: Tamsulosin HCL 0.4mg Capsules, 1,000 Capsules per Bottle
- **Base Year**: 184,227 Bottles
- **Option Year One**: 184,227 Bottles
- **Option Year Two**: 184,227 Bottles
- **Option Year Three**: 184,227 Bottles
- **Option Year Four**: 184,227 Bottles.
Each bottle must include a safety-cap and meet specific packaging requirements outlined in the scope of the contract.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon signing and notification of award by the VA. The implementation period may last up to a maximum of 60 calendar days before orders can be placed.

Place of Performance
Products will be delivered to various Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and other authorized users under the DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program.
