Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation to establish a supply source for pharmaceutical products through the VA and Department of Defense (DoD) Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Programs. The goal is to ensure availability and consistency of Prasugrel Hydrochloride (HCL) tablets for nationwide usage, while obtaining volume-based pricing. The contract will facilitate the distribution of these products through authorized Government Prime Vendors, ensuring compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

The contract involves the supply of Prasugrel HCL tablets in two dosages: 10mg and 5mg, packaged in 30 count bottles. The specific requirements include:

Packaging specifications require safety caps that can be converted to non-safety caps and bottles with a minimum size of 120cc. The bottles must fit a label measuring at least 5.25” x 2”. Prices must include a Cost Recovery Fee of 0.5%. Offerors must provide an NDC number unique to their company for each drug offered.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an implementation period followed by a base year ordering period lasting one year. The implementation period begins upon contract award and may last up to a maximum of sixty days.

Place of Performance
Products will be delivered to various locations as specified by the Government Prime Vendor contractors participating in the VA PPV Program.
