Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to establish a supply source for Melatonin Tablets through its Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV) Programs. The goal of this contract is to ensure the availability and consistency of pharmaceutical products for nationwide usage while obtaining volume-based pricing. The contract will facilitate the distribution of these products through the VA PPV Program and the Department of Defense (DoD) PPV Program, ensuring that various government health facilities can procure necessary medications efficiently.

Work Details
The contract includes the supply of Melatonin Capsules/Tablets in three different formulations: 1mg, 3mg, and 5mg. The details are as follows:

1. **Melatonin 1mg Capsule/Tablet**
- Quantity: 35,394 bottles for Base Year, with the same quantity for each Option Year (1-4).
- Package Size: 90 capsules/tablets per bottle.

2. **Melatonin 3mg Capsule/Tablet**
- Quantity: 1,363,153 bottles for Base Year, with the same quantity for each Option Year (1-4).
- Package Size: 60 capsules/tablets per bottle.

3. **Melatonin 5mg Capsule/Tablet**
- Quantity: 439,142 bottles for Base Year, with the same quantity for each Option Year (1-4).
- Package Size: 90 capsules/tablets per bottle.

All bottles must have child-proof closures and meet specific packaging requirements including a minimum size of 120cc volume and a cylindrical body with a minimum circumference of 5.75 inches. Samples must be provided that meet these specifications along with an NDC number unique to the offeror's company.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective upon signing and notification of award. It includes a base year followed by four option years.

Place of Performance
Products will be delivered to various Department of Veterans Affairs facilities and other authorized users under the DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program.
