Description

The following Illinois VAMC s have a need for delivery of Blood and Blood Products. Jesse Brown VAMC, 820 South Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60612 Lovell Federal Health Care Center, 3001 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064 Hines VAMC, 5000 South 5th Ave, Hines, IL 60141 Contractor to provide Blood and Blood Products to each of these Illinois VAMC s. The Blood and Blood Products will be defined in RFQ# 36C25221Q0585.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is seeking a contractor to provide blood and blood products to Illinois VA Medical Centers. The goal is to ensure the availability of safe and compliant blood products for patient care.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide blood and blood products to Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, Lovell Federal Health Care Center, and Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. Products must meet AABB and FDA standards, including ABO and Rho(D) typing and testing for transfusion-transmitted diseases.

Orders are categorized as Routine, Timed/ASAP, and STAT with specific delivery schedules. The contractor must also provide Immunohematology Reference Lab testing and adhere to FDA Guidance on platelet safety.

Period of Performance
Five one-year ordering periods from 10/1/2021 to 9/30/2026.
