Background
The solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD) to establish a supply source for pharmaceutical products through their respective Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor (PPV) Programs. The purpose is to ensure availability and consistency of products for nationwide usage and to obtain volume-based, committed-use pricing. The contract will be effective upon the date of signing the SF-1449 and notification of award, with an implementation period and ordering period following.

Work Details
The contract requires the supply of Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets in various strengths and quantities, including 10MG, 20MG, 40MG, and 80MG in different bottle sizes. Offerors must submit prices for the base year and all four one-year options for each line item. The offer prices must include a 0.50% Cost Recovery Fee. Additionally, offerors are required to provide an 11-digit National Drug Code (NDC) Number unique to the offeror for each offered drug. The solicitation also includes specific packaging requirements for unit-of-use packaging identified in the Schedule of Supplies.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an implementation period beginning on the Contract Effective Date and ending at the start of the Ordering Period, with a base year Ordering Period in effect for one year. The Government participants authorized to use the contract include all VA facilities, all DoD Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Program facilities, Indian Health Service facilities, Bureau of Prisons facilities, Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center (FHCC), and Option 2 State Veteran Homes.

Place of Performance
Products will be ordered by Government Prime Vendor contractors from the awarded contractor(s) and delivered to various authorized facilities as specified in the Schedule.
