Background
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), part of the Department of Energy, is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products under solicitation number 89503126QWA000383. The purpose of this contract is to procure Moderate to High Seismic Disconnect Switches, which are essential for maintaining the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure in seismic-prone areas. This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns, emphasizing the agency's commitment to supporting small businesses in federal contracting.

Work Details
The contract involves the supply of 15.5-kV to 245-kV Moderate to High Seismic Disconnect Switches. The base ordering period is five years from the date of award, with a minimum guaranteed amount of $25,000 and a ceiling value of $9,000,000. The contractor will provide various types of disconnect switches including:
- Disconnect Switch
- Grounding Air Switch
- Disconnect/Grounding Switch Combination
- Selector/Tandem Disconnecting Switch
- Selector/Tandem Disconnecting/Grounding Switch Combination

Additionally, the contractor must furnish all resources necessary to meet the technical specifications outlined in Attachments A (Price Schedule), B (Technical Specifications), and C (Drawings). Delivery will be FOB Destination within consignee's premises, with delivery and offloading costs priced separately at the order level.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this IDIQ contract is five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
Delivery locations will be determined based on Attachment D – Regional Coverage Map, which outlines potential delivery sites within WAPA's jurisdiction.
