Background
The Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA) has a requirement to replace its portion of outdoor infrastructure on a shared AVIAT-based microwave radio data link. This network connects multiple Motorola radio voice sites and supports thousands of users, including public safety first responders.

The microwave network is primarily owned, managed, and serviced by Lawrence Livermore National Security (LLNS), which is also the frequency licensee for the existing microwave radios. The current microwave radio network consists of AVIAT IRU600 / INUe Eclipse node radios and supporting infrastructure. The original outdoor infrastructure was installed in 2011 to support analog AVIAT (Harris) Constellation radios and was not replaced during that project. This acquisition aims to replace all outdoor infrastructure and select indoor infrastructure associated with GGNRA’s microwave sites, ensuring operational continuity for the radio site network.

Work Details
The contract involves replacing existing microwave outdoor infrastructure, including antennas, waveguides, and all associated support hardware as well as select indoor infrastructure. Specific items include:
