The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charlestonintends to issue a Request for Proposal for the procurement of Telephony andtelecommunications system maintenance and support services. The plannedprocurement will provide the communications systems department, supportservices which will require engineering, implementation, and sustainingservicesto Defense Switched Network (DSN) customers with Nortel Networks telephonyand telecommunications support requirements and provide voicetelecommunication switching systems to support the war fighter's mission. The subject procurement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-asideprocurement. The Government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee type contract. The period ofperformance will be a base year with four (4) one-year option periods. Theapplicable NAICS code for this effort will be 517110, with a size standard of1500 employees. THIS IS NOT A FOLLOW-ON but a new requirement and there are NO incumbent(s). It is anticipated that the solicitation and any documents related to thisprocurement will be available on or about 08 August 2008,on the SPAWAR Business Opportunity Website, located at: https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil.
