N00039-17-R-0025 - Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for OE-570A UHF Procurement Follow-On Contract

The purpose of this notice is to inform all parties that the United States Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWARSYSCOM) in support of the Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD) intends to award a sole source follow-on contract for procurement of OE-570A, subsystems, upgrade kits and engineering services to Trivec-Avant Corporation (COBHAM) located at 17831 Jamestown Lane, Huntington Beach, CA 92647. Trivec- Avant is the current OEM vendor providing OE-570A and ancillary parts. The OE-570 Antenna System fulfills antenna requirements for the UHF SATCOM Program on various surface ships. The antenna system provides coverage over a 360 degree horizon, from 2 degrees to 90 degrees of elevation despite antenna blockages due to the ship's superstructure. The system operates in the line-of-sight mode as well as SATCOM. The current contract ordering period is through 30 September 2017. This announcement provides information that assists with subcontracting possibilities. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334290 (with a Small Business Size Standard of 750). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or a solicitation of offers. However, if a company believes it can perform the requirements identified above without negative schedule, performance, and/or cost impacts, the company shall provide a statement of its capabilities within 15 calendar days of the release date of this notice.
