APX 8000 All Band Portable Radios and Accessories

This notice to inform that Fleet Logistic Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) issued a delivery order to Ewing Electronics Incorporated under Urgent and Compelling conditions. The Naval Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS) Blue Angels had an urgent need for APX 8000 All Band Portable Radios before their first air show on 10 March 2018 and following ordering procedures would have resulted in unacceptable delays. The APX 8000 All Band Portable Radio is a vital part in keeping open lines of communication for the Blue Angels during their air shows to prevent flight mishap and eliminate flight safety issues.
