This Request for Proposal is for the 57MM HE-PD Cartridge.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Contracts Department, Code 02 has issued this RFP and associated attachments. Seeking potential Offerors for the production of 57MM High Explosive - Point Detonating Cartridges, to include all components, LAP and acceptance testing.

The 57MM HE-PD Cartridge is a 57MM/70, electronically-primed cartridge designed to function in the 57mm MK 110 Gun Mount. The cartridge consists of a high explosive projectile with the ability to point detonate, a brass cartridge case loaded with propellant charge, and an electric primer.

The USN intends to award a single five-year, firm fixed price, indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract to the responsible Offeror whose proposal represents the Best Value to the Government, utilizing a trade-off process.

Background

Work Details
The 57MM HE-PD Cartridge is a 57MM/70, electronically-primed cartridge designed to function in the 57mm MK 110 Gun Mount. The cartridge consists of a high explosive projectile with the ability to point detonate, a brass cartridge case loaded with propellant charge, and an electric primer. The contract includes specific products and services such as First Article Testing, Lot Acceptance Testing Report, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (E.O.D.) Training Hardware, and Production units.

The Technical Data Packages (TDP) are marked Distribution D (Limited to DoD and US DoD contractors only). Interested Offerors must request the drawing package in writing.
