575-221 - EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades Construction - Tier 2 Data Center - Grand Junction, CO   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this contract for the Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades at the Tier 2 Data Center located in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The goal of this project is to fully renovate the Office of Information Technology (OIT) administration offices and construct a new data center addition to enhance the VA's information technology capabilities.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary for the renovation of approximately 2,000 square feet for OIT administration offices and constructing an additional 1,317 square feet for a new data center.

The work will be completed in two phases: Phase 1 involves building a new data center and entry room, refinishing the OIT reception room, upgrading the electrical system to support the new data center, and providing new cooling units and HVAC systems while keeping the old data center operational.

Phase 2 includes demolishing the old data center and remaining office space while ensuring that the new office space and reception room remain functional during construction. Detailed sequencing and coordination of electrical, mechanical, and telecommunication systems are required to maintain operational capabilities throughout both phases.

The construction projects will take place at the Grand Junction VA campus located at 2121 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501.
