DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS STATEMENT OF WORK CLC Main Door Replacement PLACE OF PERFORMANCE James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) Building 30, Community Living Center (CLC) 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612 Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8 SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, travel, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, management, training, and supplies required to install a new hurricane-rated HD-Storm automatic swing door storefront system. This system must provide the highest pounds per square foot (PSF) rating available, ensure heavy-duty construction for enhanced security, and comply with all relevant fire egress and safety standards. Key Requirements: Preferred Manufacturer/Model: Door system must meet or exceed the specifications of the Trulite 3300 Series Resistor Impact Window Wall Dual Swing Door System. Equivalent products are acceptable if they meet or exceed the performance, construction, and compliance of the referenced system. Submittals for "equal" products must include full technical documentation demonstrating compliance with these requirements for approval.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of the main door at the Community Living Center (CLC) of the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH) in Tampa, FL. This project aims to enhance security and ensure compliance with safety standards through the installation of a hurricane-rated automatic swing door system.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, management, training, and supplies to install a new hurricane-rated HD-Storm™ automatic swing door storefront system. Key requirements include:

1. **Preferred Manufacturer/Model**: The door system must meet or exceed specifications of the Trulite 3300 Series Resistor Impact Window Wall Dual Swing Door System. Equivalent products are acceptable if they meet or exceed performance and compliance standards.

2. **Thumb Latches**: The door shall not have thumb latches that impede egress.

3. **Security and Egress**: The door must be securable against entry but allow exit without special tools or knowledge; fire egress hardware is required.

4. **Operation**: Only one action should be required to open the door from the inside.

5. **Automatic Swing Door**: Must improve reliability, security, access control, and hurricane impact resistance.

6. **PIV Card Reader Integration**: Contractor is responsible for integrating the PIV card reader; new data lines for PIV reader and door controls are to be provided by the contractor.

7. **Access Control Integration**: No existing automatic door control or access control panels require integration.
