Background
The Boise VA Medical Center is seeking a contractor to remove approximately 475 square feet of asbestos-containing black mastic located under non-asbestos floor tile in the former medical records room.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and compliant removal of hazardous materials in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Work Details
The Contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Remove approximately 475 square feet of asbestos-containing black mastic from the base concrete floor of Room G26 without causing noticeable damage.
2. Ensure all flooring materials are removed from the Boise VA Medical Center campus and disposed of according to local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Submit a written asbestos abatement plan prior to commencing work, detailing the step-by-step process for abatement, including EPA notification documentation and certifications for workers performing the abatement activities.
4. Conduct pre-abatement planning that includes a negative exposure assessment (optional).
5. Manage the removal of wooden platforms that cover the asbestos flooring, either before or during the abatement process as specified in the SOW.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide personnel with EPA Asbestos Worker and Supervisor Certifications.
The contractor must also demonstrate capability in providing necessary equipment, supplies, transportation, waste disposal services, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
