5 YEAR IDIQ CONTRACT FOR A SPECTRUM ANALYZER IN SUPPORT OF THE GENERAL PURPOSE ELECTRONIC TEST EQUIPMENT (GPETE) PROGRAM   3

The attached solicitation is being issued to establish a 5 year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract for the following item:

MICROWAVE SPECTRUM ANALYZER
IAW PURCHASE DESCRIPTION SCAT 4338 (INCLUDED AS AN ATTACHMENT TO THE RFP)

THIS IS BEING SOLICITED AS FULL AND OPEN UNRESTRICTED COMPETITION IAW FAR PART 12 FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS.

The government intends to issue a firm fixed price IDIQ contract for a period of 3 base years and 2 one year option periods. All interested parties are required to submit a technical proposal by the solicitation closing date demonstrating how your item meets each part of the specification (Purchase Description SCAT 4338, included as an attachment to the RFP). Those sources whose technical proposals are approved by Naval Research Laboratories will then be required to submit bid samples for testing by NRL as well. Pricing will then be requested from those sources that receive bid sample testing approval.

THIS SOLICITATION SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY.
