5.56mm Semi-Jacketed Frangible, MK311 Mod 3 (AA40) Ammunition

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, intends to issue a solicitation for 5.56mm Semi-Jacketed Frangible, MK311 Mod 3 (AA40) Ammunition (herein referred to as AA40 ammunition) for Fiscal Year (FY) 22-27. The AA40 ammunition is used in the M4A1 Carbine and M27 rifle for training purposes and to reduce collateral damage in combat. The acquisition approach is to compete this requirement using full and open competition. The Government intends to make a single award in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.305 as a result of the solicitation. The type of contract contemplated is a Requirement Contracts with Firm Fixed Price delivery orders. The Government will select for award, the best overall proposal that is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government. The period of performance will be five (5) one-year ordering periods from the date of award (anticipated in FY 2022). This is a pre-solicitation notice, the Government anticipates that a formal solicitation will be issued on or about 21 October 2021. All information is to be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The NAICS code for this effort is 332992 and the small business sized standard is 1,250 employees.
