Background
The United States Secret Service (USSS) is seeking to procure 5.56 AR Rifles and Accessories as part of its operational requirements.

This Request for Information (RFI) aims to conduct market research to identify potential offerors capable of fulfilling this need. The agency's mission includes protecting national leaders and ensuring the safety of the public, which necessitates reliable and effective firearms for its personnel.

Work Details
The USSS requires a 5.56 x 45mm duty rifle with the following specifications:
- **General Requirements:** The rifle must be commercially available, equipped with semi-automatic firing capability, and sound suppression for use in all environmental conditions. All weapons must be of new manufacture; rebuilt or remanufactured items are not acceptable.

- **Design Requirements:**
- Operable by a right-handed shooter without modification.
- Offerors must be the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the serialized lower receiver.
- External metal parts must have a dark subdued, rust/corrosion resistant finish, unaffected by gun cleaning solvents.
- Chambered according to current SAAMI specifications for 5.56 x 45mm, functioning with ammunition weights from 55 to 77 grains, including frangible ammunition.

- **Dimensional Requirements:**
- Height: no taller than 8 inches without accessories or magazine.
- Weight: no heavier than 8 pounds without accessories or magazine.
- Overall length: no longer than 29 inches with stock folded, including suppressor.
- Barrel length: between 12.25 to 14 inches from closed bolt face to end of muzzle.

- **Operating System:** Direct-impingement gas-operated system or short-stroke gas piston system.

- **Barrel Specifications:** Minimum service life of 10,000 rounds with specific performance criteria regarding accuracy and defects.

- **Suppressor Requirement:** The rifle shall include the HUXWRX FLOW 556K suppressor mounted per manufacturer specifications.
