This is an Announcement is for backflow maintenance and repair service. The tentative Period of Performance is: 10/30/2026-10/29/2031. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This requirement is for a non-Personal Services Contract for obtain testing, certification, repair, and replacement services for backflow prevention assemblies at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS). Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material, tools, travel and overhead necessary to perform this service at VAPAHCS. Offerors will comply with EPA/OSHA regulations. The NAICS and Product Service Codes for this requisition are as follows: NAICS code 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors has been verified as the correct NAICS code for the requirement, verified through the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/cew/classifications/industry/industry-titles.htm The correct Product and Service Code (PSC) for the requirement is J045: Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment: Plumbing, Heating, and Waste Disposal Equipment is verified in the April 2025 PSC Manual. The tentative Period of Performance dates are as follows: October 30, 2026-October 29, 2031. Basic Requirement Information. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for backflow maintenance and repair services at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS). This contract aims to ensure the proper testing, certification, repair, and replacement of backflow prevention assemblies to maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The goal is to secure a contractor who can provide comprehensive services while adhering to EPA and OSHA regulations.

Work Details
