Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of domestic hot water heat exchangers at the Dallas VA Medical Center. The project aims to enhance the facility's operational efficiency and ensure compliance with current standards.

The mission of the VA is to provide high-quality healthcare services to veterans, and this contract supports that mission by upgrading essential infrastructure within the medical center.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, materials, equipment, and supervision required to replace three existing domestic water heat exchanger systems in building 2J at the VA Dallas Medical Center located at 4500 S Lancaster Rd, Dallas, TX 75216. The scope includes:
1. Demolition of three steam to hot water heat exchangers and associated piping.
2. Installation of new condensate return system controls, piping, plumbing, electrical work, and controls.
3. Provision of a temporary water heater during construction.
4. Compliance with safety regulations including OSHA standards.
5. Performance and Payment Bonds are required as part of the contract.

Period of Performance
90 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP).
