Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 4, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4), Commodities 1 is seeking information and potential qualified sources capable of providing the BRAND NAME OR EQUAL equipment listed.

The Facilities Management Service Department at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) seeks to replace one mobile articulating boom lift that has reached its end of life. This equipment is used daily at both VAPHS campuses (HJ Heinz and University Drive) for safely elevating employees performing construction and maintenance services, including lighting, roofing, HVAC equipment, plumbing, tree trimming, and window replacements.

Work Details
VAPHS requires (1) Brand Name or Equal JLG 600AJ HC3 articulating boom lift. The equipment must meet the following salient characteristics:
1. For use outdoors (rough terrain).
2. Must have a diesel engine.
3. Must have a 12v DC battery backup system.
4. Must be 4 wheel drive.
5. Must be articulating with a minimum 130 degree range of articulation.
6. Minimum lifting height of 60’.
7. Minimum outreach capability of 40’.
8. Minimum platform weight capacity of 1000lbs.
9. Minimum platform size of 8’ x 3’.
10. Treaded work surface.
11. Beacon safety light.
12. Self-closing gate.
13. Lanyard attach points.
