Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for Virtual Pharmacy Services at the Amarillo, TX facility. The goal of this contract is to provide sufficient pharmacist coverage for overnight inpatient medication orders, ensuring timely processing and fulfillment of these orders to support patient care in the Emergency Department and inpatient units.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing virtual pharmacy services, which includes:
- Coverage during specified operational hours:
- Sunday at 7:00 p.m. to Monday at 7:00 a.m.
- Monday at 11:00 p.m. to Tuesday at 7:00 a.m.
- Tuesday at 11:00 p.m. to Wednesday at 7:00 a.m.
- Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. to Thursday at 7:00 a.m.
- Thursday at 11:00 p.m. to Friday at 7:00 a.m.
- Friday at 11:00 p.m. to Saturday at 7:00 a.m.
- Saturday at 7:00 p.m. to Sunday at 7:00 a.m.
- Coverage on Federal Holidays starting from 7:00 p.m. on the holiday until the next day at 7:00 a.m.
- Providing sufficient licensed pharmacists as required by workload, with an estimated average of around 1,000 medication orders processed per month.
- Utilizing Secure Based Web-Systems that conform to OIT network requirements, including access to Citrix and virtual desktops.
- Managing the VISTA Pharmacy package which includes full inpatient capabilities such as IV package and drug file inquiry for processing inpatient orders.
