Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to replace engineering plotters to enhance their operational capabilities. This Sources Sought Notice is intended for market research to determine the interest and capability of Small Business firms in providing the required equipment. The VA's mission includes ensuring that veterans receive high-quality healthcare services, and this contract aims to support that mission by upgrading their engineering printing capabilities.

Work Details
The requirement includes the procurement of two (2) engineering plotter/printers with scanners, along with installation services and an extended warranty. The specific items are as follows:

- ITEM NUMBER 0002: 24LB Bond Paper 36” x150” (1 roll/box) - Quantity: 2
- ITEM NUMBER 0003: Installation - Quantity: 2
- ITEM NUMBER 0004: 4-Years extended warranty - Quantity: 2

Inclusions for the plotter/printer include a top stacker, basket, media spool adaptors, Ethernet/USB connectivity, manuals, and software. The scanner will come with power/USB cables, a 15.6” controller, power supply, mount, edge guides, and calibration target.

Salient characteristics include a 36” plotter with scanning capability and compatibility with VA networking. Key features are full color printing, dual rolls capability, printing speed of up to 4 D-size/min, scanning speeds of 13 ips B/W and 6 ips color (up to 1200 dpi), security features including PIN access and AES-256 encryption.
