Background
The 355th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base (AFB), AZ, is seeking to procure non-destructive inspection services. The primary mission of the 355th AMXS is to ensure the operational readiness of aircraft. This contract aims to provide critical analysis of jet engine damage to support the 57th Wing FOD Manager at Nellis AFB, NV, in resolving a Foreign Object Damage (FOD) incident.

Work Details
The contractor will conduct state-of-the-art electron microscopy analysis on jet engine damage samples. Specific tasks include:
1. Testing of Engine E5675 samples with results expected within 14 business days for each sample tested.
2. Analysis will cover:
- Stage 1 Compressor Rotor
- Stage 5 Compressor Rotor
3. Delivery of samples will be routed to Failure Analysis Service Technology, Inc., which will also return the results to the 57th Wing FOD Manager.
4. The service will be conducted remotely, eliminating the need for relocation.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from June 3, 2024, to June 23, 2025.
