35 CES Evaporator Unit

Background
The 35th Contracting Squadron at Misawa Air Base, Japan, is seeking to procure a Sprayer-less Water Evaporator Unit for the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron. The goal of this contract is to provide a reliable evaporative cooling solution that meets specific operational requirements in a military environment.

Work Details
The contract involves the supply of one Sprayer-less Water Evaporator Unit with the following specifications:
- Electrical:
- Max Motor Output: 7.5 – 10 HP
- Average Motor Output: ~5 HP Consumed
- Powerplant: Three Phase, 208v, 50hz
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) or Hardstart Control availability

- Connection from Powerplant to Grid Hookup (Length of cable): Minimum 35 meters

- Weather Resistance: Able to operate while exposed to rain/sleet/high winds

- Weight & Dimensions:
- Evaporator Length: No longer than 4 meters
- Evaporator Width: No longer than 4 meters
- Evaporator Height (while deployed): No taller than 3 meters
- Evaporator Weight: 1000lbs or less.

- Evaporative Performance: Minimum Evaporative Performance of 1.5 gallons per minute. Refer to Attachment 1 - Local Weather Data for accurate performance estimations.

- Mechanical Performance: The unit must be a 'Sprayer-less' evaporator allowing variable fan output during operation to minimize overspray based on deployed wind/weather conditions. Lack of any characteristic listed above shall render the offer ineligible for award. Manufacturer must be Resource West, Inc., Model PittBoss #20395 or Equal. Additionally, the contractor shall provide initial assembly and virtual training for operation and maintenance of the unit.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered and operated at Bldg. 656, USAF Misawa Air Base, Japan.
