Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service, located in Houma, LA, is seeking to procure a 3-row sugarcane cultivator. This acquisition is critical for maintaining field research plots at the Ardoyne Research Farm, as timely cultivation is essential for weed control and adequate drainage. The contractor is required to provide one (1) 3-row sugarcane cultivator that meets the following specifications:

- Six (6) fully adjustable 4-Disc Gangs with 22” x 1/4” Notch Disc;
- Re-lube bearings;
- Spacing of 7-1/2”;
- An axel size of 1-1/8” square;
- All Grade 8 bolts, nuts, and washers;
- Six (6) fully adjustable 2-Disc Off bar gangs with similar specifications as above;
- Six (6) sets of Dirt Shields and Clamps;
- Three (3) sets of Middle Busting Plows with clamps; and
- The cultivator must be built for either a standard row spacing of 72” or as specified by the customer.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from September 23, 2026, to November 22, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the USDA, ARS, SRU Ardoyne Research Farm located at 501 Bull Run Rd., Schriever, LA.

Bidder Requirements
This acquisition is set aside for small business concerns. Bidders must meet the Small Business Administration's size standard of no more than 1,250 employees. Additionally, bidders are required to provide new manufactured commercial items from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or an OEM approved source. Technical acceptability will be evaluated based on compliance with the specified requirements.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
