Background
The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System (BPVAHCS) requires an upgrade and expansion to its existing first responder (public safety band # Project 25) 2-way radio, paging, and cellular coverage CommScope ION-B fiber-based distributed antenna system (DAS) at its CW Bill Young VA Medical Center Campus located at 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, Florida 33744 by September 30, 2023. This will be an update to the DAS equipment, which is now past end-of-life, and an expansion of the DAS equipment to a new building. This will be a Fixed Price contract using comparative evaluation factors. This solicitation is a small business set-aside.

Work Details
The contract includes the upgrade and expansion of the existing first responder 2-way radio, paging, and cellular coverage distributed antenna system (DAS) at the CW Bill Young VA Medical Center Campus in Florida. The work involves detailed design and planning, installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, project management, and provision of materials for the DAS refresh in buildings 100, 106, and 111.
Additionally, it includes detailed design and planning for DAS extension to building 1 along with installation, testing, commissioning, documentation, project management, and provision of materials.
The performance schedule is from the date of award to September 30, 2023.

The anticipated period of performance for this Distributed Antenna System Upgrade and Expansion contract is from the date of award to September 30, 2023.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the CW Bill Young VA Medical Center located at 10000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, Florida 33744. The required coverage area of the DAS will include four buildings on the campus: Building 1, Building 100, Building 106, and Building 111.
