The original due date for questions was 1/9/23 by 2:00PM EST. We are now accepting questions from industry due by 1/12/23 by 2:00PM EST, answers to be provided within 2 business days.

Every 10 years, the Census Bureau conducts a census that attempts to count every person living in the United States and five U.S. territories. Conducting a census is an incredibly complex endeavor that requires years of planning and preparation to ensure quality results and useful information are produced for our nation. Although the next census will take place in 2030, planning is already underway. The 2030 Census looks to build on lessons learned from the 2020 Census while also exploring potential enhancements. The Census Bureau is currently in the Design Selection Phase for the 2030 Census. This phase includes research, testing, and operational planning and design work to inform the selection of the initial 2030 Census operational design the big picture plan for conducting the census. The initial 2030 Census operational design is expected to be complete in late 2024. This RFI is a series of RFIs that seek to understand industry capability that can support the Census Questionnaire Assistance Program in 2030.
