2027 Beale Airshow Screening Equipment

Background
The 9th Reconnaissance Wing (9 RW) will host an open house Air Show from June 16 to 18, 2025, at Beale Air Force Base, California.
The purpose of this source sought is to notify the industry of the USAF's intent for contract action regarding the leasing and renting of walkthrough screening technology to ensure security for the event.
The goal is to maximize throughput and minimize delays while providing the capability to pinpoint weapons and identify individuals possessing them, allowing attendees to keep personal items on their person without removal before processing through the scanner.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services and equipment:
1. Equipment:
- Five (5) Evolv Express Dual Lane Detectors
- Ten (10) handheld metal detectors
- Ten (10) metal detector trays for personal items
- Ten (10) tables
- Sufficient power, Ethernet, and other required cables, with a minimum of 200 feet per entry control point. All equipment must be fully functional and calibrated, including necessary accessories and signage.

2. Capability: The equipment must screen for weapons, threatening devices, and metallic items using TSA and industry screening protocols with a throughput gate capable of processing up to 4,000 guests per hour.

3. Technology Requirement: Equipment must specify where a prohibited item is located on a specific person.

4. Technician On-Site Requirements: Technicians must be present during event hours from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM on June 16, 17, and 18, 2027.

5. Delivery: Technicians will access installation through designated gates; background checks are required for delivery personnel.

6. Training/Orientation: Mandatory training for Entry Control Personnel must be conducted on April 16, 2027.

7. Operation: All equipment must be set up by April 15, 2027, and remain operational during public access hours.

Period of Performance
The contract work will occur from April 15 to April 19, 2027, with specific operational hours during the Air Show event from June 16 to June 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
Beale Air Force Base, California.

This opportunity is a Small Business Set Aside - Total (SBA). Bidders must submit a capabilities statement along with relevant past performance indicators pertaining to Entry Screening Equipment (Metal Detectors). Technicians must undergo background checks as a prerequisite for installation entry.
