Description

2026 AFS RAMP - SUPPLEMENTAL FUEL PUMPIN
Background
The Alaska Fire Service (AFS) is the wildland fire suppression arm of the US Wildland Fire Service (USWFS) within the Department of Interior (DOI). AFS operates in a largely roadless state, relying heavily on aviation resources for fire responses.

The AFS ramp is located at Fort Wainwright airport, and during peak fire activity from May to August, AFS requires additional vendor assistance for aircraft fueling to support agency missions. The goal of this contract is to supplement AFS's fuel resources with experienced fuelers who adhere to established safety standards during high-demand periods.

Work Details
The contractor will provide into-plane fueling services for government-furnished Jet-A fuel to various rotor-wing and fixed-wing aircraft under operational control of AFS. This includes but is not limited to aircraft such as Bell 205/212, MD 500, Sikorsky S-60/S-64, Lockheed C-130, and Boeing 727/737.

Services will be contracted on an as-needed basis during periods of heavy activity, with a minimum retention period of seven days for each request. The contractor must ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards while performing these services.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from June 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Fort Wainwright airport in Alaska.
