2017 Space and Missile Systems Center Industry Day and Tech Expo

THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. The SPECIAL NOTICE is issued solely for information purposes, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), a Request for Quote (RFQ), an Invitation for Bid (IFB), or any other solicitation vehicle. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with attending this SMC Industry Day and Tech Expo event. SMC also reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel this Industry Day.

PURPOSE OF THIS SPECIAL NOTICE

The Headquarters, Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) plans to host a SMC Industry Day and Tech Expo event, with scheduled dates of 18-19 October 2017. For planning purposes, we are gathering information on potential businesses or commercial entities that may be interested in participating in the Industry Day. Participation from small and small disadvantaged businesses is encouraged. Interested parties may send their intent to participate to the following e-mail address:

Please include your company name, point of contact information, the names of all potential attendees, potential to demonstrate capabilities on-site with a table top presence, and indicate whether US or non-US business entity. State in the subject line: SMC Industry Days/Company.

The Space and Missile Systems Center Industry Days is a government/industry event that provides industry an opportunity to receive presentations from SMC senior leadership on current and emerging requirements. Speakers from the government will present topics associated with the future of space for the military over the next five years. The event will provide an environment for participating attendees from both the government and commercial sectors to interact on the themed issues. The feedback generated from SMC Industry Day will be used by both the government and government contractors to plan for future requirements. The basic structure of the event will be a full session and a technology exposition.
