1DSB 35K Forklift Rental - Fort Riley

Background
The U.S. Army is seeking to procure two outdoor diesel forklifts with a lifting capacity of 35,000 pounds or greater for operations at Fort Riley, Kansas. This requirement arises due to the unavailability of the 1st Infantry Division's Rough Terrain Container Handlers (RTCHs), which limits their ability to lift fully loaded ISO containers.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the necessary equipment is available for container operations at various locations within Fort Riley.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide two outdoor 35K lifting capacity diesel forklifts, with dimensions of 7.5 feet long and 8 inches wide, delivered to the vicinity of Building 8320 on Wells Street, Fort Riley, KS. The service pricing will include:
- All necessary services to sustain utilization throughout the duration of the contract.
- Equipment repairs and replacements.
- All necessary repair calls and replacement parts.
- Delivery and pick-up of the leased equipment.
- Permits/Toll fees.
- Per Diem expenses.
- A comprehensive training block for up to 10 personnel covering pre-use checks, operation controls, safe lifting and movement with loads, parking, and refueling procedures. This training will be conducted at the forklift download site.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from February 5, 2025, to August 5, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in the vicinity of the 541st DSSB footprint at Fort Riley, Kansas.
