The Contractor shall provide daily, comprehensive media and social media monitoring, analysis, reporting, and dissemination services to support U.S. Government objectives and interests in Syria. The Contractor will deliver one comprehensive report per day that summarizes key narratives, provides in-depth coverage of political, social, and economic developments, and highlights emerging trends and shifts in media tone. The report shall also include monitoring and analysis of social media platforms to identify trending topics, influential actors, tonality of discussions, and message tracking relevant to Syria.

This service is critical to ensure U.S. policymakers and embassy officials receive timely, reliable, and actionable insights for informed decision-making and strategic planning in a rapidly evolving information environment.

The Contractor will monitor a broad spectrum of media sources including, but not limited to:

  • Syrian local news outlets (print, online, television, and radio).
  • Syrian social media platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms relevant to the Syrian information space).
  • Regional and international media outlets with significant coverage or influence on Syrian affairs.

The monitoring and analysis must provide U.S. Government officials with a clear understanding of the evolving media environment in Syria, identifying key narratives, trends, influencers, and disinformation campaigns impacting U.S. policy interests.

Background
The U.S. Government, through the Regional Support Unit at the American Embassy in Amman, Jordan, is seeking to procure media monitoring services to support its objectives and interests in Syria.

The goal of this contract is to provide timely and actionable insights for U.S. policymakers and embassy officials, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning in a complex information environment.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide daily, comprehensive media and social media monitoring, analysis, reporting, and dissemination services.

Key tasks include:
1. Daily Monitoring Reports: Deliver one comprehensive report per day summarizing key narratives and developments from various media sources related to Syria. Reports must be delivered by 7:00 AM Istanbul-Turkey local time, seven days a week.
2. Daily Social Media Monitoring: Conduct daily analysis of social media platforms to identify trending topics and influential discussions relevant to Syria, also delivered by 7:00 AM Istanbul-Turkey local time.
3. Special Analytical Reports: Prepare in-depth reports upon request within 24 hours or as scheduled. The Contractor will monitor a wide range of sources including Syrian local news outlets (print, online, television, radio), social media platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, TikTok), and regional/international media with significant coverage on Syrian affairs.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a one-year period from the date of award with four optional years available.
