Up to 85% of Air Force fighter aircrew surveyed reported some type of spine discomfort during their career. The OHWS program is designed to meet the unique physical needs of the rated fighter aircrew. Conditioning is accomplished through a comprehensive, coordinated, multidisciplinary pre-habilitative physical training program with focused strength and conditioning, physical therapy, massage therapy, and athletic training.

Background
The 187th Fighter Wing of the Air Force is seeking to address the physical needs of rated fighter aircrew, as up to 85% of surveyed aircrew reported experiencing spine discomfort during their careers.

The Optimizing Human Weapon System (OHWS) program aims to provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary 'pre-habilitative' physical training program that includes focused strength and conditioning, physical therapy, massage therapy, and athletic training.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary to perform OHWS services. This includes:
1. A comprehensive physical training program tailored for fighter aircrew;
2. Focused strength and conditioning sessions;
3. Physical therapy services;
4. Massage therapy;
5. Athletic training;
6. Maintenance of an adequate workforce for uninterrupted service delivery;
7. Compliance with installation regulations regarding safety and security;
8. Development and implementation of a Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure adherence to performance standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will consist of one base period of 12 months with four additional option periods of 12 months each.
