150-Pound Wheeled Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

Background
The US Army Fort Carson in Fort Carson, CO 80913 has a requirement for the provision of all direct labor, material, supervision, and services to inspect and provide maintenance to thirty (30) 150-pound wheeled fire extinguishers located on the Butts Army Heliport.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that these fire extinguishers are maintained in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, and other items necessary to perform this non-personal service as defined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

The specific tasks include:
1. Conducting inspections according to manufacturers' installation and maintenance manuals and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards 10-17A-96.
2. Performing maintenance checks at least once a year or more frequently if required. Maintenance includes a thorough examination for physical damage or condition to ensure effective operation.
3. Services required include:
- Dispatch / Service Charge (per pickup/delivery)
- 150# Dry Chemical Recharge
- Wheeled Unit Hydrostatic Test
- Wheeled Unit Hose Hydrostatic Test
- Nitrogen Cylinder Hydrostatic test (if needed)
- Nitrogen Cylinder Recharge (if needed)
- Parts to rebuild Wheeled Unit/Hose
4. Providing a full assessment report to the US Army at Butts Army Heliport.
5. Ensuring the ability to pass background checks for access to Fort Carson.

Period of Performance
60 days from the date of contract award.
