Attached are "RFI Official Responses - 1" and "4. Forest Service Supplemental Specifications - VERSION 2" which are hereby incorporated into any subsequent contract award. Failure to use the revised documents and requirements revised within will result in your proposal being non-responsive.

All Requests for Information (RFI's) shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer, Greg Cunningham, on the attached RFI form not later than 1300 hours PST, April 17th, 2025.

A FS organized pre-proposal site visit will NOT be held. The project locations are open to the public and can be viewed by each prospective offeror. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

Background
The Antelope Fire Road Reconditioning project is issued by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and aims to repair roads damaged by the Antelope Fire and suppression activities within the Shasta McCloud Management Unit (SMMU) in the McCloud Ranger District.

The goal of the contract is to restore forest roads to a functional state for public use, ensuring safety and usability through necessary repairs and alterations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes asphalt road repair, road reconditioning, vegetation removal, and aggregate surfacing.

Specific tasks include:
1. Mobilization: Mobilization and demobilization to project locations, including fire protection, equipment cleaning, permits, and incidentals.
2. Clearing and Grubbing: Clearing designated limits, constructing erosion control measures, preserving vegetation where possible, treating cuts on trees with wound dressing, and ensuring a clean travel way.
3. Reconditioning and Compacting: Similar to clearing and grubbing but focused on preparing surfaces for aggregate placement.
4. Aggregate Base: Constructing one or more courses of aggregate on a prepared surface for use as a wearing surface of the travel way while ensuring proper compaction according to Forest Service specifications.
5. Temporary Traffic Control: Installing and maintaining traffic control devices to ensure public safety during construction activities.

Period of Performance
The contractor must begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award and complete it within 60 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed on Forest Road 43N15 Harris Spring (FA 15) in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
