Background
The Sawtooth National Forest, managed by the U.S. Forest Service, is seeking contractors for the replacement of roofs at the Stanley Admin Site and the North Fork Admin Site. This project aims to enhance the structural integrity and longevity of housing units within these sites, which are vital for supporting the agency's mission in preserving and managing national forest resources.

Work Details
The contract involves replacing the roofs of two housing units (#9 and #11) at the Sawtooth Admin Site and one 3-bedroom dwelling at the North Fork Admin Site. The base bid work includes:
1) Demolition of existing asphalt shingles, ice and water shield, drip edges, flashing, damaged fascia, and all associated materials for Units #9 and #11.
2) Construction of new cold roofs on Housing Units #9 and #11, which includes:
a) Installing ice and water shield over existing roof decks;
b) Replacing damaged fascia boards as needed;
c) Installing counter and fixing battens;
d) Installing ½” plywood sheathing;
e) Installing ice and water shield over cold roof decks;
f) Installing new asphalt shingles;
g) Installing new drip edges, vent pipe flashing, fascia screens, fascia board coverings, and ridge vents;
h) Replacing ¾” sheathing on existing roof decks as needed. Optional work includes similar tasks for a 3-bedroom house at the North Fork site.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place at two locations:
1) The Stanley Administrative Site in Custer County, Idaho, approximately 3 miles south of Stanley; accessible via State Highway 75 and Forest Road 433.
2) The North Fork Administrative Site in Blaine County, Idaho, approximately 8 miles north of Ketchum; accessible via State Highway 75 and Forest Road 146.
