The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS), Intermountain Region, Fishlake National Forest has a need for aggregate, meeting the specifications in this solicitation to be delivered, and the stockpile shaped at the location listed in this solicitation. The Government anticipates awarding a requiremnts contract for a period up to five years. Within the ordering period of the contract, the Government anticipates ordering a minimum of 10,000 tons and a maximum of 50,000 tons. Delivery, and Mobiliztion of the Loader for Shaping of the Stockpile, should be included in the per ton unit price.

Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service (FS), Intermountain Region, Fishlake National Forest requires aggregate for delivery and stockpiling at a specified location. The goal of this contract is to establish a requirements contract for the delivery of crushed aggregate surface course material over a period of up to five years, with a minimum order of 10,000 tons and a maximum of 50,000 tons.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for delivering and stockpiling crushed aggregate surface course material at the location near I-70 Exit #73. The specifications include:
- Aggregate Surface Course, Grading H
- Quantity: Minimum 10,000 tons, Maximum 50,000 tons
- Delivery must include mobilization and loader for shaping the stockpile.

Specifications for the aggregate include:
1. Los Angeles abrasion (AASHTO T 96): 45% max
2. Sodium sulfate soundness loss (AASHTO T 104): 12% max
3. Durability index (AASHTO T 210): 35 min
4. Fractured faces (ASTM D 5821): 50% min for both subbase/base and surface course.
5. Free from organic matter and lumps or balls of clay.

Aggregate gradation requirements are detailed in Tables 321204-1 and 321204-2, specifying percent passing for various sieve sizes.

Period of Performance
The contract period is anticipated from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
Delivery will occur near I-70 Exit #73 on the Fishlake National Forest in Utah.
