Background

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services for electronic security systems at both the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center and the US National Arboretum. Key tasks include:

1. Preventive Maintenance (PM) at the US National Arboretum:
- Conduct inspections of access control systems and intrusion detection systems to ensure functionality.
- Verify configurations of Access Control Systems (ACS) on all exterior doors as Fail-Secure and internal doors as Fail-Safe.
- Clean surfaces and label all wiring within panels.

2. Maintenance and Repair:
- At the US National Arboretum: Replace fail-safe hardware panic bars with fail-secure hardware; replace specific components in various buildings.
- At the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center: Replace defective magnetic contacts, malfunctioning glass break sensors, troubleshoot emergency exit door locks, and ensure proper functioning of electric locks.

Period of Performance
The contractor is required to commence work within 10 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 365 calendar days after notice to proceed.
