The contract will involve construction and maintenance activities such as road grading with ditch/drainage maintenance; drainage dip construction; culvert removal and replacement; new culvert installation; new gate installation; cattle guard maintenance and wingwall replacement; and cattleguard removal and replacement. The base contract involves four National Forest Service System Roads (NFSRs).

Background
The Luna Fire Recovery Road Work project involves a base contract line item and two optional line items. The contract includes construction and maintenance activities such as road grading, ditch/drainage maintenance, culvert removal and replacement, new culvert installation, new gate installation, cattle guard maintenance and wingwall replacement, and cattleguard removal and replacement. The base contract involves work on four National Forest Service System Roads (NFSRs) in the Camino Real District of the Carson National Forest in Taos County, New Mexico.

Work Details
The construction tasks include road grading with ditch/drainage maintenance, drainage dip construction, culvert removal and replacement, new culvert installation, new gate installation, cattle guard maintenance and wingwall replacement, cattleguard removal and replacement. The specific details for each NFSR are provided: NFSR 76 (29.7 miles total), NFSR 17 (4 miles total), NFSR 440 (10.55 miles total), and NFSR 440M (1.94 miles total).
Option items #1 and #2 involve furnishing, hauling, and placing with compaction of aggregate spot surfacing along the routes listed in the base contract.

Period of Performance
All work in the base contract must be completed within one-hundred twenty (120) days of the issuance of the initial base contract Notice-to-Proceed. All work in the option item(s) must be completed within 60 days of the issuance of the option item Notice-to-Proceed.

Place of Performance
The project routes are located on the Camino Real District of the Carson National Forest in Taos County, New Mexico.
