11 Sep 2023 P-8A Engine Depot Maintenance and Repair Order Modification

On 11 September 2023, Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters, 47123 Buse Road, Bldg 2272, Patuxent River, MD 20670 issued a $3,982,829 modification to Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract Multiple Award Contract (IDIQ MAC) N0001918D0110 Order N0001923F0226 on a sole source basis to Standard Aero Inc. of San Antonio, TX. The Order was issued to Standard Aero resulting from a fair opportunity competition among IDIQ MAC holders. The modification procures depot maintenance and repair services on several P-8A engines. It not only exercises options and increases the price on existing time-and-materials contract line items, but also the modification is issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency because it is a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract for the procurement of a Low Pressure Turbine module refurbishment on an engine inducted at Standard Aero's facility, and minor repair and incorporation of service bulletins on several engines that are either already inducted or physically staged (pending induction) at Standard Aero's facility located in Winnipeg Canada.
