Background
The solicitation is for services to implement a combination of treatments for wildlife habitat enhancement and fuels reduction on the Prescott National Forest in Prescott, AZ. The purpose of the contract is to rearrange/reduce ladder and canopy fuels to reduce the risk of crown fire, increase defensible space for fireline control operations, and improve forest health. The project is located approximately 28 miles east of Prescott.

Work Details
The scope of work includes providing labor, equipment, supplies, permits, and licenses necessary to perform cutting and hand piling of mixed-chaparral and small diameter tree species, as well as hand constructed fireline on the Prescott National Forest. The work involves hand thinning and manual piling of mixed-chaparral and small diameter trees across a total of 1,440 acres. Additionally, it includes construction of handline, 2 feet wide to mineral soil.
