Temporary lodging for members of Port Security Unit 305 residing outside of Reasonable Commuting Distance, RCD, are entitled to berthing in order to fulfill drilling requirements as reservists in the USCG. Safety in the Fort Eustis, Virginia area is also a concern. Past experience for PSU 305 Drill Berthing at multiple commercial hotels in the local area, off base, has proven cars will be broken into repeatedly. Secured parking at the berthing location is a must.
