Description
As the Coast Guard Academy celebrates its 150th birthday in 2026, this facility renovation project funded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act addresses mid-life renovations necessary for the primary Coast Guard Academy barracks at the more permanent New London, CT location of the Coast Guard Academy established in 1932. Overlooking the Thames River adjacent to the Academy s centerpiece Hamilton Hall, Phase VII of this project modernizes and repairs the oldest, most historic corridors of Chase Hall, the U.S. Coast Guard s flagship primary residence hall, including offices, gang toilets/showers, and resident rooms to support every Coast Guard Academy student for the duration of their time at the Academy.
This is a contract for design and construction services at U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, Connecticut. This contract will conduct selective demolition and new construction to renovate existing Chase Hall Annex A including building exterior envelope repair, upgrades to finishes, restrooms, electrical and lighting, communications infrastructure, security, fire protection sprinkler system, and environmental abatements of known hazards.
