Description
USAID s Malaria Targeted Service Delivery and Laboratory Support Mechanism aka USAID STOP MALARIA , a five-year program, will support malaria diagnostics, treatment, and prevention, including malaria in pregnancy, vector control with routine distribution of bed nets, case management activities in health facilities and community settings, social behavior change (SBC) activities for all malaria interventions as well as the malaria vaccine introduction primarily in the province of Sankuru. In addition, USAID STOP MALARIA will support malaria laboratory diagnostics and quality assurance in all the other eight provinces supported by USAID integrated health mechanisms, including the Outreach Training and Supportive Supervision (OTSS). Furthermore, the mechanism will support the implementation of the malaria test efficacy study that aims to understand the level of rising resistance of malaria parasites to the first line drugs used in the prevention and treatment of malaria across the 26 provinces of the DRC.
