UM - Re-Construct Chlorination Bldg S75, Waiawa Pump Station

Type: Forecast

Overview

Description
Maximo WO HGSYGP. Re-Construct Waiawa Pump Station Chlorination Bldg S75. Existing facility is a 225 square feet, single-story, 3-sided CMU structure with double doors on one side (left photo below). Facility is used to stage chemical disinfectant totes for potable water production. Foundation and rear wall on south side of facility is starting to crack due to differential settlement (right photo below). In addition, existing facility does not have adequate storage space, resulting in chemical disinfectant totes being stored exposed to the elements. A 2022 EPA audit listed this as a deficiency that is required to be resolved. Proposed reconstruction includes demolition of existing structure and building new stand alone structure 15 ft wide by 36 ft long, with concrete slab on grade, CMU walls, and metal beam roofing. Required utilities include appurtenant electrical power and lighting. Facility shall be accessible via separate 2 doorways. Project preference is for design-bid-build process and will require planning and EV documentation. Project will require either in-house or A/E design documentation including but not limited to construction drawings, specifications, cost estimate, basis of design and schedule. Project can either be constructed with JBPHH Shops or contractor.
